Vancouver, WA. – Mayor Timothy D. Leavitt announces his endorsement of Bart Hansen for Vancouver City Council. Hansen was appointed in January to an open seat on the Council, and now seeks election in November 2010 to retain the seat.
"Bart has demonstrated to me the important ability to listen and make thoughtful, rational and timely decisions about city issues. He is a strong advocate for families and safety, and will be a fine councilmember for our citizens", Mayor Leavitt stated.
Hansen is a Vancouver, Washington native and product of Vancouver Public Schools. His employer is Clark Public Utilities, where he is the Office Services Manager. He is married (Carly) and has two young children. They reside in the Minnehaha neighborhood.
